Plays ambient music when Anki is started and plays audio when buttons are pressed.
This add-on is a fixed and customized version for Anki25.07+ of the addon “Advanced Answer Sounds” (author unknown). “Advanced Answer Sounds” was developed based on “Answer Button Sounds” by Kyle Mills and credit goes to them.
How to use
All sounds are enabled by default. If you do not need them, change them in the settings: Tools -> Advanced Answer Sound Settings
Audio files can be customized.
Only wav audio files are supported for buttons. (Please convert mp3 to wav) Ambient music supports mp3.

Notes This add-on is designed to play various sounds and background music, so when you install it sounds and BGM will auto play. If you don’t like the sound, BGM, or volume, you can customize them in the options. (Menu -> Tools -> Advanced Answer Sound) If the sound does not auto play there may be a bug, if so please contact me. Mac and Linux should work but I have not confirmed this yet, if it does not work please contact me. Loving this add-on! It motivates me to stay focused and keep going until I finish decks. I also switched out the sounds with duolingo’s correct, wrong and completed!
Quick question — not sure if it’s just me not understanding how to use the feature, but the “delay play” after question doesn’t seem to be working for me. Highly recommended. The sounds really make studying flashcards more engaging. I use the Correct, Wrong and Completed Lesson sounds from Duolingo and turn off ambient music.
Delay Play and Fadein Show should have been disabled by default. I was confused why everything just felt so sluggish. Turned out it was because of this add-on.

Hi thanks for the feedback. I agree those are annoying, however for now those are the features needed for me to volunteer to develop the add-ons, these reasons:
[ pop-up on startup ] The purpose of that pop-up is to display the changelog and recruit supporters. Tthe changelog is ideally displayed to help users use add-ons safely, new features are useful but there is a risk of unexpected bugs.

Very nice addon that works as described, but I would appreciate a way to disable the popun that opens everytime anki is opened as it is a frstrating extra step to have to close it every time.

Hey Shige, could you make the "finish deck" sound only display when there is no more cards due on a deck? for example, i'm studying this deck about pharmacy, and the have only 1 card left to complete, but I press again. In this case, the finish deck sound will play, because it sees no more flashcards at a moment. so is a false celebration.
could you fix that, to only play the sound when the deck has no more reviews on that day (today)?

This works well. What i am missing from a previous sound add-on is the option for a sound when the answer side is uncovered (space bar). This would create a nice rhythm of uncover → answer sound → uncover → answer sound → ...
