AnkiGames adds two mini-game study modes to any Anki deck. Instead of standard review, drill your cards through interactive games — same content, more engaging format. Works with any deck and any note type with at least two fields.
To play: right-click any deck in the deck browser and select “Play AnkiGame”.
MEMORY FLIP
Classic concentration game. Cards are placed face-down in a grid — flip two at a time to find matching front/back pairs from your deck. Wrong pair? They flip back. Complete all pairs to advance to the next batch. Tracks moves, time, and accuracy.
LINE MATCH
Two shuffled columns — fronts on the left, backs on the right. Click one from each side to connect them. Green line means correct and locked. Red flash means wrong, try again. Tracks accuracy across all attempts.
Works with any deck
Built for Anki 2.1.50+ (Qt6) — no compatibility issues
No external dependencies
Configurable grid size, pair count, and timing via built-in settings (Tools -> AnkiGames Settings)
Supports review queue mode (study only cards due today)
SOURCE Built by a French language learner who uses Anki daily and wanted these game modes for personal use.
