You’re probably looking for Anki Fanfare (Gamification/Feedback) instead, but if you install both, I think this makes that one switch cards faster as a side effect.
Plays a different beep based on how you answer the card. Sounds are public domain.
Because Anki only plays one sound at a time, the answer ding would sometimes be canceled by the next card loading. Instead of that, the sound keeps playing and delays any audio from the next card (including awesometts). There’s a variable to toggle between reliable ding delaying next card’s sound, and unreliable ding not delaying next card’s sound. This addon is incompatible with any addon that overrides Reviewer._answerCard without wrapping it if that addon loads afterward (it would mute this addon). This addon overrides Reviewer.nextCard and is incompatible with any addon that overrides it if that addon loads beforehand, unless the variable is toggled (it would break the other addon). https://github.com/khonkhortisan/Answer-Button-Sounds Updates: had to import askUserDialog&QMessageBox, and it only told me once it got to those line.
2.1.20: This was modifying Reviewer.nextCard to continue playing audio when going to the next card but still letting it stop playing when you flip to the back side of a card. Now that the setting Tools→Preferences→Basic→☑ Interrupt current audio when answering applies directly to AVPlayer.play_tags, it doesn’t know which side of the card it’s on, so it just lets the audio from the front keep playing on the back. TODO FIXME

Wonderful. Makes sloughing through reviews a bit more bearable. One of the sounds is a bit long but you can customise sounds to your liking so it dosen’t matter.
UPDATE Anki 2.1.20beta3 breaks this
