Note: Only works on PyQt6 version of Anki
This addon will automatically synchronize your collection with AnkiWeb at time intervals you can choose. It will never interrupt you while you are using Anki.
USAGE
By default, the first sync will start 1 minute after your last activity. While Anki is sitting idle in the background, it will sync every 10 minutes. You can change those settings in the options dialog.
To avoid interrupting you while you’re using Anki, the addon will not sync under any of these conditions:
- Cards are being reviewed
- Dialog windows such as the Card Browser, the Add Cards window or the Preferences window are open
- The main window has focus (is not minimized or in the background)
This behaviour also can be changed in the options dialog.
If you want to see what the addon is doing and if it’s working correctly, open the options dialog and click on “Show log …”.
KNOWN ISSUES
For some people the sync process will bring the Anki window to the foreground, which is disrupting, but on many/most systems this seems not to happen. Try the plugin and see if it works for you, it probably will.

Note: This addon is not related to the old Autosync addon. Future versions of my addon might support earlier versions of Anki, but for now you might want to give that addon a try if you’re using Anki version 2.1.33 or lower.

Great app for keep sync up to date, especially if you use Anik desktop at different locations. It is easy to forget to sync or close an app on one site (home) and then on work break, realize you forgot to sync the cards, and have to restudy a whole bunch of cards that were done elsewhere. It works with versions up to 2.1.6. Unfortunately, it is not working with Windows Anki version 23.10.1. I hope the author will update this useful app.

A Great add-on! Frequently I’ve forgot to sync the desktop app at my office, then tried to continue using the system at home with much annoyance. This one solves the problem! Although the iOS app does not offer automatic synchronization capability, that does not make much problem to me because I always carry my iPhone. In that case, I just press the sync button on the iPhone.

This plugin deserves a three-star. It does the job of auto-sync however the Anki window is brought to the focus every time the sync start. If you are using your PC and keep Ankin minimized you will be annoyed by the Anki Window popping up on your screen every time of synchronization.
My goal was to keep the Anki on the PC open, and also use the mobile version without having to remember to sync on the PC first to get the progress on the mobile.
