Anki add-on focused on Bible memorisation
Tutorial
Install this add-on. Open Bible Memorizer (Tools → Bible Memorizer) Copy your scripture into the text box. Each new line is a new note. It is best to add a line break after each verse (one verse per line) or to break the verse into several parts (one part per line). You should include the verse number at the beginning of each new verse. For every note there are three cards (or four if you checked the box “Create Table”). Further Notes 1 verse = all lines until a there is a new verse number at the beginning of a line. If you don’t use verse numbers at all, you are limited to 26 “verses”, because there are not more letters in the alphabet :) “Table Cards” are only created if you have more then 4 verses. Screenshots

Helps to memorize sentences which I had broken into separate cloze cards for the minimum information principle. Now I can break them into lines to help remember the whole.
However, the table field gets filled very rarely (I think, only for some poems/songs), and lists longer than 26 lines without verses are generated wrong because they run out of English letters. Comment from author You have to use verse numbers whenever a new verse begins. This will fix both issues.

Really great tool, it has been effective in my studies so far! Has anyone had trouble with the Table card not generating? That is the only feature that does not work for me, the table is missing but it looks like you could make it yourself if you need it

I quite like the innovative approach (at least from what I have seen) of this plugin. I wish there was a way to see the verse in front and I would have to know the passage of the verse. After memorising a number of unrelated, single verses it becomes difficult to remember where the verse was. I am considering to contribute that via PR.
To the person asking what the number of “lines to recite” means: It refers to the number of verses shown in card 3 in the back.

Just wondering what does the lines to recite part mean as I can see that in your example you listed 2 but there are way more. I’d plan to use this for study and memorising long passages, but I wanted to know what the point of the first letter of each word would provide as in an exam/test you wouldn’t have the first letter of each word would you? Could you clarify? Thx (if anyone else could also clarify through reviews that’d be great- I will consistently check this review page)

I’ve tried many ways to memorise long passages of text. I came across this almost a year ago now and decided to try it as I wasn’t making much progress with anything else. Ever since then, it has been - by far - the easiest and quickest way to learn long passages for me. I would sincerely recommend this to anyone and everyone!

I like this add-on, but I was running into: IndexError: list index out of range: addons21/2012700632/gen_notes.py”, line 37, in read_data “verse_part”: verse_parts[verse_part],
So I add this after data_out.append( on ”~/Library/Application Support/Anki2/addons21/2012700632/gen_notes.py”,
if verse_part >= len(verse_parts):
verse_part = 0
===
def read_data(text): data = text.splitlines()
data_out = [] verse_number = 1 verse_parts = [“a”, “b”, ”
