Brainscape to Anki converter
This is an anki addon that converts brainscape flashcards to anki flashcards all from a few clicks.
Installation
To install the addon:
Paste the addon code (below) into the addons area Restart anki Go to thetools header Click on Brainscape to Anki Paste the URL (in this format for example: https://www.brainscape.com/flashcards/topic-8-particle-nuclear-7466676/packs/9913339) Type the location Done!

Changelog
v1.0.0 (Initial): Supports basic functionality with the fundamental ability to convert all of the flashcards in a Brainscape pack into an Anki deck.
v1.1.0: Due to a few user requests, additional functionality of images have also been added! I.e. if there are any images within the flashcard, it will also be added to the flashcard within anki. Another request was to support functionality of line breaks within the flashcard that are on Brainscape, but aren’t visible on the new Anki deck. This new version supports this and adds the line break to look closest to the brainscape pack as possible.
v1.1.1: Major bug fixes. Recently, I suspect that brainscape must’ve added some protection in order to stop webscraping, so this new patch should solve those problems (for now). Extremely sorry for the delayal, I was not aware of this until recently.
v.1.1.2: Major bug fixes. Previously program only loads the first 24 or so flashcards due to changes in the website. Now, should be able to handle lazyloaded content.

Edit: What I have noticed is that each day, I can only import 2 decks before it stops working. I would usually turn off my computer, then log back into Google Chrome, and import. Is there a daily quota from the website?

I had this add-on for a year now, and it always worked fine. Right now, I can’t transfer any decks, when I do, it says that the transfer was successful, but there is always 0 card on the deck … What’s going on?

The add on worked on Sunday and now it doesn’t. All the flashcards that I got on that day automatically got deleted :( :( :(

The add-on doesn’t work anymore. I tried to remove it, restart anki, re-install it but no cards are being exported from brainscap to anki :/ Looks like they blocked it

Looks like brainscape (a parasite of a company) has implemented protection to block this add-on from working.

For people who is struggling to make it work, try copying the link from the instruction, you’ll see what UI of the website is applicable for it. It works, but you have to copy the link of each subdeck.

Love it. One small bug: at some point, the cards lose the formatting. For example, words that should be bolded are rendered as word. Also, the footnotes are rendered as ##Footnote.

Hello! Does this addon currently only add public decks?
Are you unable to add the function to migrate private decks to ANKI?
For example, I have a link to a discipline that has several decks within it. I wish I could download this discipline and its decks. Example link: https://www.brainscape.com/l/dashboard/zmc-criminologia-21358656/decks

used to love it and used it alot but recently when i export it only exports 24 of any of brainscape subdecks ; for exemple if it has 120 or 80 ; both times it only adds 24 in anki ; solution someone? appreciate it ; leave a comment or such ; i tried click on ”contact author” leads to discord and stops Comment from author I’m sorry to hear that. Good tool! Just be sure that you copy the links for courses with multiple decks by visiting the main course page (this is not the same as the link from your dashboard. you can find this link by visiting the course from your dashboard, and using the link you get from the “share” button to visit the main page), and copying each individual deck from there

I installed the add-on but and pasted the URLs of the deck and it came up with no cards. Please do let me know how this would work with a class deck that isn’t mine or does this add-on not cover it?
