Welcome to the Chinese Companion Anki add-on.
I envision this addon to have many functionalities to aid in the modification of decks and general Chinese learning.
Current support: Sort a deck of arbitrarily many card types by (customisable) frequency lists. That is, you can order cards in any deck by the commonality of their Chinese characters. Turn your favourite sentence based deck into a SpoonFedChinese clone! Personally, I have used this feature to blend in sentence decks with general vocabulary decks so that vocabulary is introduced in Anki before any sentence containing it. Easy learning! Suspend cards based on HSK characters. Suspend all cards in a deck that contain characters that are above your chosen HSK level. Study with the Heisig method out of order! Want to study with the Heisig method but don’t want to use Heisigs prescribed order? Plugin ensures all unlearned Heisig components come before any unlearned Heisig cards. Statistics Hanzi stats similar to the Hanzi stats plugin, but more easily customisable over all your Chinese note types. Soon to come: Suspend by current progress in another deck. Only want to see sentences from vocabulary you have already learnt? Suspend by N most frequent characters. All of the above but based on words rather than characters. What else? You decide! This looked exactly like what I needed! Unfortunately it did not work 😢 (Probably because I am using the Qt6 version of Anki?) Comment from author Fixed for you - it was indeed because of Qt6. Appreciate if you update the feedback.

love it. kind of an alternative to morphman if you don’t want to deal with the morphman stuff.
would love it if the plugin had the option to tag the cards that it suspends so it’s easy to unsuspend them later etc.
also it’d be even better if there was an option to suspend sentences longer than x characters long and/or specify whta length sentences i want to be shown first. it’s very useful for beginners. i just do it manually with the search-browse as well as the search cards by length pl

Very useful.
Possible suggestion: I’m trying to find an add-on that will help me study according to card type in decks that use HSK. I have quirks, I think we all do, haha. The need in short: I want to be able to study the characters only, then the English only, then the pinyin only. Like one would do with tags.
The reason for the need, I don’t let myself graduate a pinyin card unless I can write the character correctly, sometimes when I’m in a hurry I just want to learn to identify the chara

Awesome! I used this to re-sort the Remembering Simplified Hanzi anki deck according to frequency and then re-ordered so that components come before relevant cards. Super easy and fast.
