hi i haven’t actually tested this extensively for breakage just whether or not it works at a basic level so if it causes errors just leave a bad review so other people don’t use it glhf
You are permitted to make derivative versions of this addon.
DA KILL Z0NE is an addon for Anki 2.1’s experimental v2 scheduler that adds two timesaving behaviors:
- Relearn-queue cards that you keep failing (answering “Again” on), during a single day, in the relearning queue, get buried until tomorrow after too many “Again”s
- Review-queue cards that have very large intervals after being reviewed are suspended and tagged.
The default values are 5 “Agains” for burying and intervals that are 140 days long or longer for suspension. Both values can be configured.
Burying can be disabled on a per-note basis by adding a “no_bury_z0ne” tag.
Suspension can be disabled on a per-note basis by adding a “no_kill_z0ne” tag.
Suspension adds a “da_kill_z0ne” tag.
Again, this addon is only for the experimental v2 scheduler. This means that it will not work with the stable/original scheduler, and there’s a chance of this addon breaking as the v2 scheduler receives updates.
Notes:
- Not tested well, just made sure it works
- Not tested with custom study or filtered decks or subdecks or anything like that, just basic Anki usage
- Again, only works with the v2 scheduler

Just because the guy in 2 comments below reminded me of my ex-girlfriend and her insults for attention.

negative to get your attention:
SUGGESTION: Can you make it so there is an option to bury new cards? I find that some cards, especially when learning words for a new language sometimes get stuck in my head and I cannot learn them, but if I manually bury them and see them the next day then for some reason do the “click” and learn them fast. It would be awesome to add auto bury for new learning cards (in the new steps and not only for lapses)
Great addon. One of the best to optimize time.

If you want to bury cards in both learning and review queues that you fail often, you can try mortician.

OLD: It doesn’t work for me - it tags the cards but does not suspend them. All of the card types are tagged simultaneously, so I am not sure how it should behave in this case - to tag the whole card X amount of times until all of the notes are suspended?
EDIT: I am not sure if the problem was real, but I managed to fix it by assigning ‘-1’ to card.queue in addition to suspendCard function use. I read that the addition of the same tag gets culled automatically, so I don’t have any complaints a

So useful!

Omg, I second the adding of the “auto” suspend after X amounts of correct answers!

First, thank you for this add-on! I think this is a great way to reduce the daily review load, especially when you have a lot of cards and don’t need to continuously keep up with all of them. I was initially doing this manually and am so glad this I found this add-on to automate the process.
As I have many decks and use different settings for each, I wanted to tweak the add-on for my personal use. One thing led to another, and many hours later I ended up making a decent amount of changes to t

It’s possible to add an option like:
- automatic suspend a card who pass 10 [value] reviews?
Thank you

Why would you suspend cards with long intervals? Those consume only very little time.

Wondering why this addon had no rating. Very useful for me, as I’m using Anki 2.1 with v2 scheduler.
