How to use the add-on
- Install the updated Anki Wikipedia and DocCheck Integration add-on.
- Restart Anki to activate the add-on.
- Configure the Wikipedia language (optional). • Go to the “Tools” menu in Anki, and select “Add-ons.” • Locate the “Wikipedia-DocCheck-Integration” add-on in the list and click on the gear icon to access its configuration settings. • Enter your desired Wikipedia language code (e.g., “en” for English, “de” for German, etc.) and confirm your selection.
- Open an Anki deck and start studying.
- When you encounter a medical term that you want to look up, simply highlight the term and right-click to open the context menu.
- In the context menu, you’ll find two options: • “Open DocCheck article”: Click this to open the corresponding DocCheck article in a side panel. • “Open Wikipedia article”: Click this to open the corresponding Wikipedia article in your chosen language in the same side panel.
- Read the relevant information in the side panel without leaving Anki, making your study session more efficient.
- To show or hide the side panel, go to the “Tools” menu and click on “DocCheck Panel.” Toggle the panel’s visibility according to your needs.
