Ruzu Pop-ups is an Anki addon that periodically presents Anki cards using a small pop-up window. This allows you to review Anki decks whilst working on other important tasks! Cards from your chosen deck will periodically pop up for you to review.
Features
Review fully rendered Anki cards within pop-up Deck select Set how often cards pop up (every 5 mins, 10 mins etc) Currently supports text based Anki decks and models only.
Future Features
Choose pop-up location / size Shortcuts to enable / disable pop-ups or show the next card early Optional markers for marked and flagged cards
Getting Started You can enable and configure the addon within the options menu:
Tools -> Ruzu Pop-ups Options
Support This addon currently supports basic cards and CSS. Cloze cards are not yet supported, your mileage may vary with advanced cards that use javascript or MathJax.

This addon increases productivity, I’m surprised it doesn’t have a higher rating and it works perfectly with the latest versions of Anki. Edi1t: It may be very useful to someone: An error appeared every time I activated the V3 scheduling algorithm, regardless of the version of Anki, and disabling all other addons. Since I deactivated it, my problem has been resolved. Please, to the creators of the addon, if you can review this detail, in preferences I now always deactivate V3 and I no longer hav

After reverting to v 2.1.66 for Apple Silicon, making changes to the code, following the information in the pull request, the AddOn still failed to run when clicking on the review question. Worked fine until I tried to update Anki and updated my deck to the v3 scheduler along with it. There is apparently no way to undo that. Now the addon still WORKS, text pops up, I answer, and it does still correctly identify the card as having been reviewed - but every single time I answer a system window pops up saying there has been a problem with the addon and I need to troubleshoot it. I tried to downgrade Anki several times and it seems there is no way to go back to the former state of not

Unfortunately Ruzu Pop-ups Updated 2022-12-27 doesn’t work with Anki Version 23.12.1 (1a1d4d54) Python 3.9.15 Qt 6.6.1 PyQt 6.6.1. The Add-on worked with Anki Version 2.1.66 (70506aeb).

good addon! but, there is an error message that is shown when the deck being reviewed becomes completed and no more cards are left… error message pops up periodically when the deck is empty of review cards - that is a bit annoying.. the error message is as follows: Exception: There was an issue getting the current card because review is not currently active.

works great! no conflicts with other addons. pop ups display over fullscreen video. enable & disable without restarting anki. i tried it for an hour while browsing on social media and it does its job! a highly intrusive and annoying little window to remind you to keep studying when you decide to minimize anki and procrastinate.
