I really love this Addon. But it seems that the dev is not looking after it anymore so after the Qt6 update, the addon has a few bugs which i had to fix myself. Bug 1- due to qt6, error popup will showup on deck review start Bug 2- Keyboard input does not register/reset timer. i fixed both of them temporarily, i have 0 coding knowledge btw, had to use chatgpt for help. The bug fix is in his contact/github page in closed issues section “please update for Anki latest/Qt6”

Thumbs up for a great idea. Unfortunately the alarm randomly plays for me while I am reviewing and I haven’t been able to figure out why.

Edit: is there any way to turn off the 20.7.14i34 (2020-07-14) change in which the alarm will play on idle? It is a problem because the add-on does not register controller use, so when reviewing using a controller/wireless remote, the alarm plays after 30 seconds.
Edit 2: thank you very much for implementing a change. The add-on, however, is not updating through Anki. Do you recommend downloading from GitHub or do you intend to push an update though AnkiWeb?

Anyway to change the sound? Comment from author Check out the update. Set ‘alarmFile’ key to your likings.
Note that absolute paths must be escaped. Windows path separator \ should be written as \ instead.
(linux) /home/whyaask37/mine.mp3 → “/home/whyask37mine.mp3”
(windows) C:\Users\whyask37\test.mp3 → “C:\Users\whyask37\test.mp3”

Wow, this is really useful.
It works on Anki 2.1.26 - only sometimes. Sometimes it detects that you switch windows, but it won’t play a sound (on Mac), and I don’t know why.

Excellent app. Really enjoy the functionality and the notification upon returning to review. It would be great if there was a way to alter or customize the sounds (volume, type, etc). Looking forward to further updates!
