Previous comment: After the latest update, every time I check for updates in Anki, this add-on pops up as having an available update (latest 8/15/2023 update). Installing the updates does nothing it appears, and I am prompted to install the update again once I check for updates. On latest public Anki 65, MacOS. Comment from author before post was edited That’s weird. Thanks for letting me know, as well as making a GitHub ticket about it. Edit: I might’ve messed up updating it

Great add-on, does as intended.
P.S. For anyone having issues with the add-on not working with no indicator for errors, try running Anki as administrator. That’s how I got mine to work. Comment from author Weird. Makes me wonder if that’s the discord library being used that needs it or something else. I’ve made an issue for this on GitHub, so if anyone has any feedback on that topic please let me know there.

Nice addon. But as someone else has mentioned, I keep getting error messages when the addon is enabled. I think this happens to me even when discord is open. Comment from author I’m afraid I need more information to reproduce/fix this. I don’t know what kind of error messages are being shown, nor how.

Works pretty well, and has some nice customization available. Constantly throws errors if Discord is closed while Anki is open though. Comment from author I can’t seem to reproduce this. If you’d like me to take a look at the problem, please consider making a GitHub issue with some more info

I’ve added the addon to my anki and nothing happens, there is no error code or anything. I’m wondering what i’m doing wrong, tried registering Anki as a game on discord but it makes it the default question mark image. Comment from author Make sure you’ve restarted anki after getting the addon. You don’t need to register it as a game on Discord. Unfortunately I can’t help much here with a single reply and without more info from you. If you’d like more help I’d suggest making an issue on the GitHu

Works very well. I’m curious how this addon is different from the other Discord addon that was already out (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1133851639)? The only difference I see is that the icons are different and this one is a litter faster than AnkiDiscord Comment from author Indeed, the initial rationale of making this addon was that this would hopefully be a stable and complete reimplementation because I was dissatisfied with the existing one :)

It works great. To my knowledge you need to have Discord open before Anki- it doesnt work otherwise. Really great add-on for reminding me and my friends how much of a slacker I am as the timer reaches upwards of 10 hours LOL

It doesn’t work.
I added the discord client id and it’s showed up in Discord very well. But after that, it didn’t show up anything.
