Auto Open Deck at Launch and Auto Advancing Deck Queue
Some say it only costs two clicks to open a deck; as a UI designer, eliminating two clicks is a win.
More importantly, I often find myself burning mental energy just getting started with my review—every extra click is another chance to stall. This add-on drops you straight onto the first review card, allowing you to start studying immediately.
Removing friction at the beginning often makes the difference between “I’ll study later” and “I’m studying now.” Pairing it with add-ons such as Life Drain helps me lock in the habit.
This add-on Opens the first due card of the selected deck on launch Supports deck queues — finish one deck, and you’re taken to the next automatically. Is compatible with Anki 23.12–25.x (Qt5 & Qt6)

Update log: V1.4 Revamped saving. Now it saves different configs and settings per profile. (The configs now saves to your profile/configs/ instead of in the addons21/). New setting to disable auto-launch. Added support to start a queue deck with a button in Tools manually. Your deck queue settings will need to be reconfigured and saved after upgrading from a lower version Known issue: if you are starting multiple Anki sessions at one time (clicking the Anki icon too many times), an error message will be triggered. It will not prevent the addon from running normally. V1.3 Better handling for filtered deck. Better UI for the auto-advance page. Button and timer fixed, with additional function to pause the auto-advance timer, and rebuild or edit a filtered deck. A new save system that hopefully won’t overwrite users’ settings for each update. Slightly faster open time. Known issue: blank page if cancelling an edit in auto-advance mode on an empty filter deck page. The auto-advancing deck queue exits if the user exits the deck. V1.2: Adapted to safer initiation steps that made this plugin more compatible with other extensions. added automatic advancing between decks (toggleable), and removed the queue limit. Known issue: Deck queue auto advancing only works when you enter the first deck using this extension. The button on the completed page is currently a placeholder. V1.2.1 removed the config file in the update package.
