Card AutoSorter — Suggest & Move Notes into Step Subdecks (2-Pass, Tag-Boosted)
Card AutoSorter helps you bulk-organize notes into the right subdecks by analyzing note text (with AnKing-friendly cleaning) and using AnKing-style tags as scoring boosts when available. It’s designed for quickly sorting batches of notes (ex: “missed UWorld” cards sitting in Other).
How to use 1. Open Browse 2. Select one or more notes 3. Go to Edit → Suggest subdeck for selected notes… 4. Review the preview table 5. Click Apply checked to move the notes
What you’ll see in the preview table • Yield bucket (AnKing 1–5 High/Low Yield tags, if present) • Decks (Current → Suggested) so you can see exactly what will move • Override Deck dropdown (force a different target deck for a row) • Preview of the note text (front preferred) • Score + Pass (foundation vs systems) • Resources detected from tags (Bootcamp, FirstAid, Sketchy, DirtyMedicine, etc.)
Double-click to view full content • Double-click any row to open a window showing the full Front/Back content for all cards in that note (so you can confirm it before moving).
Parent deck (“deck root”) setup (makes it work with any deck names)
At the top of the preview window you can set a Parent deck (the deck that contains your system subdecks). Options: • Use current deck as parent • Use suggested parent (if the add-on detects a likely match) • First-time setup (sets parent + offers to create missing subdecks)
Once you set a parent deck, the add-on will build targets like: Parent Deck::Endo, Parent Deck::Cardio, etc. (You can also map names like “Endo → Endocrine” in config if you want.)
Create missing target decks (one click)
If the add-on recommends decks that don’t exist yet, you’ll see Missing targets and can click: • Create missing target decks
Review workflow (optional)
In the preview window under Review Tools you can: • Tag checked (no move) → tags notes for later review without moving them • Create Filtered Deck (based on the review tag) to study those notes immediately • Clear review tags (all / today / by date) • Optional: choose whether the filtered deck reschedules cards
Notes • Sorting operates on notes (it moves all sibling cards in the note together). • Text is cleaned before scoring (HTML, cloze wrappers, sound/image tags, etc.) to improve matching. • Scoring rules are configurable in the add-on Config.
Deck Organizer - Allows the user to organize their decks to their liking rather than the default alphabetical organization in anki itself · Tools -> Deck organizer: Arrange Decks -> Click and drag decks to desired locations -> Save changes
