The Custom Interval for Mind Maps add-on was created to allow users to set custom review intervals for their mind maps in Anki. To use this add-on, you need to create a specific deck for mind maps. The main purpose is to make it easier to view images (mind maps {PDFs, JPGs, etc.}) created on other platforms, allowing for periodic reviews.
Regular viewing of mind maps helps to consolidate information in memory. This add-on ensures that Anki maintains the review structure without interfering with the process. The review intervals are set as follows:
After viewing the card once a day for 30 days, the card changes to a 7-day interval. After viewing the card once a week for 4 weeks, the card changes to a 30-day interval. After viewing the card once a month for 6 months, the card changes to a 180-day interval. After viewing the card once after 180 days, the card changes to a 365-day interval. After viewing the card once after 365 days, the card can be considered reviewed, completing the cycle.
Features:
Interval customization: Users can adjust review intervals according to their personal needs, setting values for 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 180 days, and 365 days.
User-friendly interface: An easy-to-use interface allows users to quickly select decks and customize intervals.
Multilingual support: The add-on supports multiple languages, allowing users to choose between English and Portuguese.
Help and documentation: A help button provides information on how to use the add-on and recommended intervals, ensuring users can maximize their effectiveness.
Settings saving: Settings for selected intervals and decks are saved for future sessions.
Anki integration: The add-on integrates seamlessly with Anki, updating review intervals during study sessions based on viewing frequency and established rules.
Notes: It is recommended to change the values only if you are going to use this addon for something other than viewing mind maps.
