I’m Roger, a college student who used to struggle with the challenge of manually creating flashcards. This process was exhausting and time-consuming, so I decided to develop FlashCard GPT, an Anki add-on that uses ChatGPT’s artificial intelligence to automatically generate flashcards from any text.

Love the idea of using GPT to make cards! But it’d be better if we could choose other providers instead of just OpenAI.

The add-on doesn’t work. I can’t add the API key and it would be nice if you could add free option like on this add-on ”https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/357495808” Comment from author Thank you for your message. Could you tell me which operating system you are using to fix the error? Please keep in mind that it does not work on Linux. On the other hand, if there is any error message, could you send it to the contact email address listed on the website?

- The addon returns white text with light background when used in Dark theme, making it very difficult to read the generated responses.
- To be able to have flashcards for subjects that are longer than 2-3 paragraphs, we need more than 20 limit on flash card generation, because GPT won’t remember the previous context if we try to break it down in multiple ca
