Math Delimiters Replacer is an Anki addon that automates the conversion of math equation delimiters while creating cards. It replaces $$ with [ and ], and $ with ( and ), maintaining formatting and enhancing note readability.
Features Simplifies math delimiter conversion in notes. Supports block ($$) and inline ($) equations. Offers a toolpane button for easy formatting. Default keyboard shortcut: Alt+M (configurable). Installation Download the addon package (.ankiaddon) from releases or AnkiWeb. In Anki, go to “Tools” -> “Add-ons” -> “Browse & Install” and select the downloaded package. Restart Anki to activate the addon. Usage After installation, find the {\(…\)} button in the toolpane. Select text with $ and $$ delimiters (Ctrl+A selects all text). Click the button to replace with (, ) and ], [. Alternatively, use the default keyboard shortcut Alt+M. You can configure the keyboard shortcut to your preference. I simply fixed this add-on for Anki24+ and uploaded it to AnkiWeb. After the original add-on has been updated to Anki24+, this fork is not needed. 🧮Math Delimiters Replacer LaTex MathJax $ $$ -> (…) […] Fixed by Shige https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/401047458

I copy my notes from obsidian where LaTex is done with just $$ and I got so annoyed manually removing these and replacing them with what anki requires.
I was so close to making this myself but decided to check if someone did it. Thanks so much
