This add-on allows limiting the height or width of the images displayed in the Anki card editor so that all the fields are (possibly) visible together.
To change the maximum image height or width, go to Tools > Add-ons > Maximum image height and width in card editor. Each property is documented in the configuration dialog.

Great add-on.

Doesn’t work with the latest Anki versions.
But, there’s a better alternative:
• Install addon CSS Injector (https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/181103283)
• Tools → Add-ons → select “CSS Injector” → View Files
• Open file “user_files\field.css”
• Set its content to:
anki-editable img {
max-height: 100px;
}
• Adjust 100px to your needs
• Reload editor

2.1.54-1 support? A must have addon! Should be a native Anki feature

A must for people copy-pasting images from various sources. You can (and should) use the highest resolution image without reduction. The image retains its original resolution but will be presented on the card in the desired size (without exploding the card).
I used to resize (downsize 1200px images to 600px) images on insertion, but this proved to be a wrong strategy because once I switched to an ultra high-resolution monitor, the images turned out to be too small for optimal viewing. This ad

Awesome thank you

Especially useful for a 4k monitor, I signed in to give this add-on a thumbs-up. I totally agreed with the comment on 7/15/2019. If it would be a universal rule applicable everywhere in ANKI, this add-on would be even better.

Excellent! I wish there was an add-on with the same functionality, but everywhere (not just in card editor). Image resizer only applies when making new cards (besides it makes the images blurry if you’re using 4K display settings)

Simply make it a lot easier and less cumbersome to make cards.

where do i change the MAXHEIGHTPX? there’s two places wehre MAXHEIGHTPX is
I’ m very new to this, not sure where in the code to change.

Works great, great job.
Had a problem where it stopped working suddenly because of a conflict with another addon (not sure which), but I added an ‘a’ to the name of the file in the addons folder to change the load order and now it’s fine. Try that if it’s not working for you.

I don’t work with images a lot; but these QOL changes are appreciated!

Excellent Thank you very much! It works perfectly.

Very useful, thanks! I work with a lot of fields. This add-on has made my life much easier when adding images to them. No more endless scrolling to get to the lower fields!
