If you have any difficulty updating this add-on then, please follow these Instructions:
- Navigate to Anki’s Tools->Add-ons then disable Migaku Chinese and restart Anki.
- Navigate to Anki’s Tools->Add-ons and click “Check for Updates”, then install the update.
- After the update finishes re-enable Migaku Chinese and restart Anki.
Migaku Development Cycles Migaku develops add-ons in 6-month development cycles. For the duration of a development cycle, add-ons are designed for the latest stable version of Anki that was available at the beginning of that cycle. At the end of a development cycle, all Migaku add-ons are upgraded to the latest stable version of Anki. Please note that development of the new updated versions of the add-ons begins at the end of the current cycle, once all Add-ons have been updated the new cycle then begins.
<b>Why Migaku uses a Development Cycle:</b> ● By not needing to constantly update add-ons each time a new version of Anki is released, we’re better able to stay focused on new projects. ● When everyone is using the same version of Anki and the same version of the add-ons, bug fixing can proceed more efficiently. ● Because users only have to update their set-up once every 6 months, they can more easily stay focused on their studies. ● We surveyed our users and found that the vast majority approved of a 6-month development cycle.

no support for latest versions of anki. I had to downgrade my anki two years back to get this to install, then the migaku add-on wasn’t compatible with that anki version. hope this software can continuously support the latest anki

I wondered why this addon is not updated and found this info:

Great add on if you’re willing to be committed to the Migaku development cycle and their suite of add-ons. They develop everything on one specific build of anki and you have to keep it until they update everything for a new build

Chinese Support Redux has been broken for months and months now. I assume the creator may not have time to fix, overwhelmed with other work, etc. This has SAVED my flashcard game. Without the ability to add readings and tones, I found studying chinese with Anki far too annoying and not nearly as helpful. Thanks SO much for all the hard work and for supplying this for free!

Hi - I am getting the following error message when copy and pasting the code provided: “One or more errors occurred:498302176: Invalid code, or add-on not available for your version of Anki.”
