This Anki add-on adds the ability to add more card flags. You can add flags and customize their labels, colors and shortcuts from the config window under Tools > Add-ons > Config.
The add-on should work on Anki 2.1.46+.
The custom flags should behave like standard ones for the most part, but there are some issues to be aware of:
Searching for custom flags is only supported on 2.1.64+. The “No Flag” sidebar item only understands custom flags on Anki 23.10+. When you delete a custom flag from the config, it’s not removed from the cards. So if you later add a new flag in place of the old one the cards will automatically reflect the new flag. This might change in the future. Custom flags only work on the computer version.

Great addon but I have 1 problem:
When using the addon sometimes when I want to click my anki card it says: “not at top of queue”. Can someone help please?

Great add on, the only issue I have is that at on the “browser” window when I try to organize my card per flag color the new color doesnt seem to get the command. They seem to be mixed up with the other non-flagged cards. Anyway around this?

I love this add on, it helps me create easily filtered decks. Sorry if I ask you too much, but when you visualize the card by click on “Preview” from “Browser” window, the flag does not appear as it does with the preset flags of Anki.

On my Mac, I am unable to reach the config window. Once I click on “Config”, it keeps the addons window open and does not bring the Config window to front, thereby not allowing me to make changes. The default Anki colors have values that are too similar, and this allows me to set very distinct colors. Makes it very easy to use cards in a more systematic manner.

This is a long-awaited feature. I think it should go into the basic functions of anki. It’s still fantastic, but I think it will be more useful if a hierarchy between flags is possible in a future update, like tags. thank you! I wish you all the best.
