This addon allows you to quickly add tags to a cards while reviewing.
Keybinding to open a tag adding dialog; q by default
You can add keybindings to add specific tags, optionally burying the note at the same time. All options can be configured through the add-on manager.

I know med students often look through their browser in pre made decks and add a tag to cards that they missed that involved practice questions. This could help our flow even more! First, thank for this great add-on, its simple and really useful, I just have one request if possible:
- Normally who uses this addon use {{Tags}} to display the tags on the cards but after including the tags, the card is not refresh on screen. I need to answer and undo the review to see the tags updated on screen. It would be nice to update/refresh the card after including the tags.
I posted on Github but its not updated for quite a while so I register here too :)

Got tired by pressing the E button then add a new tag, now I press the “Q” button on the reviewing card and without opening a new page I can add a tag!

Only allows adding a tag, not deleting any current tags.
Add-on “Tag Toggler Fork for 21” similarly shows a dialogue for adding a tag (using the default hot key “shift+R”, which can be customized) but the dialogue also includes existing tags.

I really need this add-on but i cannot find “editor tag hotkey” in 2.1. Comment from author I don’t plan to port it. Mostly because I’ve no use for it myself. But I can be hired. Glutanimate can usually be hired too, I think, and as the author, it’ll probably be easier for him
