I’m fairly happy with the way I’m doing this and expect it to be reasonably resistant to breaking on updates.

This deserves more likes. It works perfectly as a means to ‘refresh’ the Javascript content for each new card. I was just about to give up on the card template I worked for days on until I discovered this add-on!
