Overview Transform your Anki cards into a true interactive quiz. With Simple Multiple Choice by Denis, you can define up to five answer choices, have them randomly shuffled each time the card appears, select your picks directly on the front, and receive clear, colour-coded feedback on the back.
Key Features Up to 5 options per question — show only the ones you fill in.
Random shuffle of answers on each review so you can’t memorize positions.
Interactive front: click an option for a subtle grey highlight (no right/wrong shown yet).
Persistent per-note state: your selections survive “Show Answer” ↔ “Show Question” loops.
Dynamic back: displays only the options you picked, coloured green (correct) or red (incorrect), plus one summary message:
That’s Right – all correct and no wrong picks
Missed One – only correct picks, but skipped at least one
Not Quite – any wrong pick
Zero dependencies: pure HTML/CSS/JS via Anki hooks — no extra libraries needed.
Easy customization: tweak card/front.html, card/back.html and card/style.css to suit your style.
Fields Question – your prompt
Option1 … Option5 – up to five answer choices
AnswerKey – a binary mask string (e.g. 10101 means Option1, Option3 & Option5 are correct)
Installation Automatic: Tools → Add-ons → Get Add-ons… → enter Add-on ID
Manual: download SimpleMC.ankiaddon → Tools → Add-ons → Install from file…
Usage Add a new note of type Simple Multiple Choice by Denis
Fill in Question, Option1–5, and AnswerKey
In review: options appear in random order; click to select, then press Show Answer to see your coloured picks and summary message.
Compatibility Tested on Anki 25.02.4 (2.1.25) and later.
