This is a slightly modified version of the True Retention add-on by Strider that breaks the retention statistics up by card maturity:

IMPORTANT: In order to be able to see these stats on newer Anki versions, you need to navigate Anki’s classical stats view by holding SHIFT while clicking on “Stats” in Anki’s main screen

In addition to this, the add-on also allows you to define a custom card maturity threshold (MATURE_IVL at the top of the source code). This is set to 21 days by default.

I wasn’t able to find any licensing information for the original add-on, but since it reuses parts of Anki’s code I think it’s fair to assume that it’s licensed under the same license as Anki itself (GNU AGPLv3). The code for this add-on is hosted on GitHub.

The true retention by card maturity feature seems to be working fine on version 25.09.2 (I don’t use any of the graphs or other features so I don’t know about those).

Buggy. It works for past day/week/month/year. However the stats only appear after you’ve done a review that day; otherwise they say N/A.
Does not work for “all time” when clicking on “deck life” no matter what I do.
Also, it conflicts with other add-ons like FSRS4Anki Helper and Hanzi Stats (the graphs/stats no longer appear).

The main stats still work as of Anki 2.1.55 QT5, however graphs like forecast, review count etc. are broken. It’s still worth using if you just need the retention %.

Great addon. Very useful for language learning. “True retention” should ideally be in the 80-90% range. Lower retention is a sign that you’re not learning properly. higher is a sign that you’re learning “too well” (which is time inefficient, as you could use the same amount of time in learning a lot more cards with a lower retention rate).

Something I didn’t know and would suggest be added to this add-on’s description:
NOTE: In modern versions of anki (2.1.33 and newer), you MUST open the Stats window by shift-clicking in order to view addon-based stats information. If you do not hold shift, a different stats window will appear where addon-based stats do not display. This behavior is covered in Anki’s documention.
