With the advent of FSRS scheduling, the newest versions of Anki come with a built-in option to reduce reviews on any day of the week. This add-on may still be useful for Anki users who choose not to use FSRS.
This add-on is now free. It was previously only available to members of AnKing VIP This add-on was paid for using money that is earned on our AnKing Membership. We create add-ons using this income, release them for Members only first, and eventually release them to the public. Creating and maintaining add-ons is very time-intensive and expensive, so we have to fund this somehow. We employ some fantastic software engineers in the community to help us create tools that are useful to everyone. What other add-ons and perks are available to AnKing VIPs? We have made a running list of all current beta add-ons on this website. Other perks of being a member include individualized help with Anki, early release YouTube videos, etc. These are listed under the tiers on the VIP Sign-up page.
Why do we put some of our beta-testing add-ons on AnkiWeb early? Because we plan to release these add-ons to the public eventually (as we have with this add-on), we create an add-on listing in order to get an add-on code. This makes it so that the add-on our VIPs download will continue to get updated once it is released to the public (vs needing to delete the early release add-on and redownload the public one)
What other add-ons have we funded? Other add-ons we’ve released and/or are currently maintaining using income from this project include: Advanced Card Styles, AnKing Note Types (Easy Customization), Browser Resizer, Clickable Tags, Custom Background Image and Gear Icon, Export Single Tag for Sharing, Fastbar, Field Autocomplete, ReColor, Special Fields, and more!
What is this add-on? Do you want to take a break from doing your Anki reviews without having them pile up on the weekends, holidays or a vacation? Or do you have specific days in the week when you’re too busy to do the reviews? Then this add-on is the solution to your problem! It works by rescheduling the already scheduled cards at any time by moving them either before or after the specified days. By default, the intervals never change by more than 10%, or by 7 days in any case. Compatibility with mobile apps and other addons This add-on plays well with mobile versions of Anki (AnkiMobile/AnkiDroid), assuming that the user also uses the desktop version, as the cards scheduled on mobile will be moved away from the specified days when the rescheduling is run (with Ctrl+Shift+r), or at every startup if run at startup is chosen at configuration options. The add-on does not directly modify the scheduler, but instead reschedules already scheduled cards.
Differences from the “Free weekend” addon This addon is heavily inspired by the “Free weekend - or Any Other Day” addon (accomplishes a similar task, but works completely differently - can also be used together). As the former only works with newly learned cards (cards already in review won’t be affected), does not work with mobile apps, and might conflict with other add-ons that change the Scheduler behavior. This add-on aims to solve these shortcomings by instead of patching the Scheduler, it reschedules already scheduled cards. Thus, it will also work for someone who uses both AnkiMobile/AnkiDroid and Anki desktop, and for someone who already has many cards scheduled for the future. It can seamlessly be used together with the “Free weekend” add-on, as well as other add-ons that affect the scheduler (for example, LoadBalancer).

Its a great add-on. People will be like “don’t create that many cards, if you’re not able to review them all”. Yeah, sure, but depending on what you study it’s not about knowing everything, its about learning and remembering as much as you can without turning crazy. This helps me have my weekends off and stay sane, so thanks.

To all the majorly intelligent people putting poor reviews on this because they’re mad that this is a placeholder addon - yeah, it’s a placeholder addon. Read the description. Cope harder. Quit pinning negative feelings on the AnKing and umbrella projects they have going on that are meant to help people just because you don’t want to pay 5 bucks for a membership.
