Don’t stop the currently played audio file while transitioning to the answer side during review, i.e. mimic the behavior of Anki 2.0.
(Anki 2.1.20+) Either don’t install this add-on and uncheck to not interrupt the currently playing audio in the Tools - Preferences or keep it checked and install this add-on. In this case, the audio usually will be interrupted but it’ll keep playing during review while moving from a question to the answer side.
With the add-on installed, if “Interrupt current audio when answering” is not enabled in the Preferences, it’s still possible to interrupt some audio. To do it, open the add-on’s config (Tools - Add-ons - … - Config) and update the list of fields. If the audio filename can be found in these fields, it can be interrupted. By default, it’s set to “SentenceAudio”.
“blacklist (always interrupt)”: [ “SentenceAudio”, “Example Field 1”, “Example Field 2” ]
(Anki 2.1.0-2.1.19) To continue playing the audio file after moving to the next card, please set “reset_on_next_card” in the add-on’s config to false and restart Anki.

This addon in amazing! It is infuriating that I have to randomly wait for the entire file to finish whenever I want to replay audio!
I also saw that you redid the implementation of how the audio player is opened which is great cause the native implementation is beyond stupid. (Natively it keeps opening and closing the audio players which probably introduced the lag detailed above)
P.S. would it also be possible to fix the audio once it is flipped over? Then I can’t interrupt the audio and

With the latest inclusion of the blacklist feature, this addon is PERFECT for listening to a short audio at the start of the card whilst blazing through your reps, but not being stuck listening to a much longer audio file that may start automatically if you have more than 1 audio field on the back of your cards. Really amazing addon for language learning!

It makes repetition faster and more convinient. That is why I had to work with the older versions of Anki for a long time.
