Ze Frozen Fields

Starting with Anki 2.1.45, this add-on is not necessary anymore, as Anki has this feature natively built-in (implemented by me).

This is a another take on Glutanimate’s Frozen Fields.

Why not just use the original? As opposed to the previously mentioned version, this one does not overwrite the Editor class. This means, it’s compatible with other add-ons which modify the Editor behavior, e.g. my Ze Add Note Id.

Note: This is not simply a modification of Glutanimate’s Frozen Fields, but completely my own work.

Shortcuts All shortcuts are settable through “Tools > Add-ons > Ze Froze Fields > Config”.

F9: Toggle Frozen status for current field Shift+F9: Toggle Frozen status for all fields. It will turn it off for all fields, if any fields are frozen. It will turn it on for all fields, if no fields are frozen.

Here is how to do it natively in Anki 2.1.45.

You can find a pin like icon at the right side of the field when adding cards. Turn that on and that is how you can toggle it ON or OFF.

I can’t add this add-on with Anki ⁨2.1.46.

I think that it is one of the most important add-on in Anki. Comment from author You don’t need to. It’s natively implemented in 2.1.45+. That’s why I disabled it :)

Fixes the problems I had with the alternate Frozen Fields add-on:

• works with the latest release of Anki (2.1.44)

• does not seem to interfere with add-on Chinese Support Redux

Indispensable add-on ; Anki should have this built in! Comment from author before post was edited Luckily for you, it will with 2.1.45 :) (although with a different design)
