The add-on should work a bit similar to Fast Word Query - https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1807206748 - and a bit differently.
At the moment the add-on doesn’t have any code and will do nothing once it’s installed.

The add-on is yet to be created. I won’t have time to do it for the time being, it’s a very low priority at the moment and it’s unlikely that something will be done in a few months, but hopefully sooner than later.

Sounds interesting. Please, if possible support LDOCE5 Viewer or original LDOCE5. Why? Because it will not change. Once done, it will always work. At least until something in Anki changes. But you will not have to care about their API and users about internet connection, which is important, because some have fiber-optic cable and some slow mobile connection.
I am not sure why you point to Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary, 10th edition for Android version. If you consider this dictionary
