as a med students my cards can be long to say so i keep getting 0 exp when i do y flash cards :( Comment from author just like how OSRS operates on a tick based system and how not every few ticks successfully grants experience, I tried to emulate that in this add-on! so for example, just like how cutting a log in OSRS might not always be 100% successful within a certain number of ticks right away, not every card will grant exp with each card. for now, the add-on doesn’t take into consideration l

I love this addon - thank you! It would be great if it also included game sounds, such as the level-up jingles (available on the OSRS Wiki) or mining success/failure sounds for instance. But I understand it’s probalby complicated for licensing reasons.

Glad you are working on this again, I appreciate the new updates with the UI!
As a suggestion, I would appreciate the ability to position the EXP bar on the bottom of the screen, or to minimize the text to just display the progress bar only, otherwise, I like it!

The addon had a perfect balance of game-juice but not too distracting. But it feels a little heavier after the update. It takes a few sec. longer to open the GUI and the cards on Anki take a 1 sec. delay to update. My machine is lower end so the addon currently is unusable. Is there an older version available? I didn’t find any public releases on the github repo.

After the latest update, with the progress bar, the add on of remaining time for anki https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1508357010 doesn’t show up anymore. Please help to fix it so that both add ons can work together.

This is fantastic! Quick suggestion: would it be possible to give an option to see your inventory/bank as you go through the cards. I think it would be helpful to see it so I can set a goal of gathering X# of ore etc as motivation.

This is the RuneScape x Anki add-on I’ve been waiting for, can’t wait to see it updated!
I was wondering if there’d be a way to customize our user experience? Such as if we wanted to hide the small +exp. bubble pop-ups in the bottom right to streamline our study focus while still having the game run in the background?
Edit (07/24/2025): Just updating review to say in the midst of this OSRS boom might be a neat wave to ride in updating this add-on :D

I love the idea. Sometimes I’m even sad that I finished my deck before lvl up. But all the tabs are confusing. I’m trying to train smithing, but checking how many ores I have, getting the right quantity of each, changing the skill… It’s hard to keep track of the resources. But I’m enjoying a lot!

I’m very glad I found this! I love OSRS and I think this addon truly gamifies ANKI for me. Thanks for putting in the effort to do this!
Some personal suggestions
- A UI that shows the current skill being trained and how much material you’ve gained during the study session
- UI also showing XP progress (maybe a progress bar or just something when you hover over the skill similar to OSRS

Very cool add-on as an old RuneScape and (new) Anki fan :-) I am doing most of my reviews on the phone, so I would also advocate the possibility to collect XP and items and see the progress when logging in to the computer next time.

Hi, thank you for this add-on, it’s excellent!
I wonder if it would be possible to somehow convert repetitions done in ankiweb to xp in ankiscape? I have to do a lot of my repetitions on my phone in ankiweb and it’s a shame that it is then not calculated into my mining xp :(. For example, the heatmap add-on takes into account repetitions made in ankiweb, perhaps something like this would be possible here too?

Excellent add-on! Would love to see more updates in the future, maybe even with a fully-integrated crafting system and equipment we can make and wear so we can use our resources for something!
One problem I’ve noticed - if I press a shortcut for “Good” (e.g., “3”) then I am awarded experience even if I haven’t turned the card yet. Best runescape anki add-on. It emulates the way runescape has XP drops after every input. I would love if it keeps getting expanded to more skills. Gathering skills will probably be easiest to do first
