A sometimes-maintained version of Aliuakbar’s excellent (but no longer maintained) Pomodore addon.
Now updated to work with PyQt6
Based on the Pomodoro method, where (classically) you work for 25 min, then take a 5 min break. You can see a progress bar at the top and you can set your own times as desired.
In my experience, it’s a great way to stay focused for long periods of time without burning out.

This app prevented me from starting Anki. I had to start the app while holding shift to disable add-ons, then deleted the add-on. This fixed the problem.

Error
An error occurred. Please start Anki while holding down the shift key, which will temporarily disable the add-ons you have installed.
If the issue only occurs when add-ons are enabled, please use the Tools > Add-ons menu item to disable some add-ons and restart Anki, repeating until you discover the add-on that is causing the problem.
When you’ve discovered the add-on that is causing the problem, please report the issue on the add-on support site.

If it doesn’t work I try downgrading from 2.1.40 or disabling all addons to see if it helps.

Didn’t work with 2.1.40. Tip: if anki is not launching after installing add on press shift while opening anki. It will open anki by temporarily disabling all the add ons then you can delete pomo add on.

I did install this addon and afterward, I could not open Anki anymore. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling did not help at all. Now I have to probably reset my whole Laptop for the program to work again.

works beautifully! thank you so much for fixing the break time issue. Of note for those with older Anki versions, just download this person github code as a folder, open anki, open the addons tab, go to the addon files on your system and put the pomo folder in there. restart anki. It is working for me with Anki 2.1.15 on Mac High Sierra OS.
