To fix this add-on, you need to edit the config.py file and make the following changes:

1. Line 163 from dialog.exec_() to dialog.exec()
2. Line 126 from scroll_area.setHorizontalScrollBarPolicy(Qt.ScrollBarAlwaysOff) to scroll_area.setHorizontalScrollBarPolicy(QtCore.Qt.ScrollBarPolicy.ScrollBarAlwaysOff)
3. Add a new line below Line 8 and type ‘from PyQt6 import QtCore’

Then save, restart Anki, then Tools -> Add-ons -> Chinese Stats -> Config to set it up.

My Mandarin deck has loads of notes, but significant amount of them are sentence decks so trying to figure out exactly “how many words I know” is difficult. This addon and it’s graphs showed me instantly how many individual words. Also quite motivating to now have a specific number I can see rise as I learn new words/sentences. It’s cool having a metric to show progress because it often feels like I’m not improving now I’m past fun “complete beginner” phase.
