To use this add on, users must install ffmpeg (MacOS/Linux) and libav (Window). For Window users,
- Download and extract libav from Windows binaries provided here.
- Add the libav /bin folder to your PATH environment variables.
This add on is most effective to get audio files for shadowing practice. It gets the separated audios in the deck and combines into a big audio file. You can make an audiobook out of an Anki deck (Yeah). This add-on has multiple options for users.
- Number of audios per groups: this option allows users to combine consecutive audios into groups. For example, if the number of audios per groups is 6, 6 consecutive audios will be played together.
- Number of plays: this is the number of times an audio is repeated.
- Number of copies: how many copies of the big audio file do you want to have. Each copy will have a different order of the audios.
- Default waiting times: by default, the silence period between two audios is equal to the length of the former audio. In case this is not what you want, the default waiting times is the time between two audios.
- Additional waiting times: sometimes, it is better to have longer silence period. You can use 1 or -1 to add seconds to additional time, but you can also add additional time in percentage. For example, if additional time is 30%, we will add waiting time of 30% of the back audio length.
- Mode: there are three modes of ordering the audios. In Random all, all audios are shuffled, in Overview, there is no shuffle taking place, in Random subdecks, the audios in each subdeck are shuffled. There is also a Practice mode for users who are practicing shadowing. All of the above settings are applied for Glossika practice mode. In Listening practice mode, audios are played sequentially with no silence period between them. Users can save the settings for later uses too. In advance mode, users can use a csv file to config instead of setting options sequentially. The template for the file can be found in this link. This is an useful add on that should be included in your toolset to empower your language learning process.

Until author or another volunteer can fix the outdated code, you will need to:
-
Downgrade Anki to Version 2.1.49 (dc80804a) https://apps.ankiweb.net/downloads/archive/anki-2.1.49-mac.dmg https://apps.ankiweb.net/downloads/archive/anki-2.1.49-windows.exe
-
Downgrade your Anki account so that it can be used with Version 2.1.49
-
Download FFmpeg https://www.ffmpeg.org/download.html git clone https://git.ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg.git ffmpeg

Excellent, and if there is a room for enhancement, I would like to suggest:
- The ability to select number of cards per deck for each sound file (app is taking to much time with larger decks, and could fail)
- running the script silently, or within one window (with larger decks, pop up windows would prevent one from working)
Appreciated : )

I fixed this issue.
step1. Download ffmpeg from here: https://github.com/BtbN/FFmpeg-Builds/releases/download/latest/ffmpeg-master-latest-win64-gpl-shared.zip
step2. extract this file to a folder in your computer. (for example, c:\temp)
step3. add bin folder in above into your enviroment variable. For example, after you extract the download file to c:\temp, you may get a folder called c:\temp\xxx\bin. add this one to enviroment variable.
step4. reboot your computer and run ffmpeg

Hi, every time I try to export a deck it “does” it, actually in less than 3 seconds, but when I check the audio file it created it turns out that it is an audio of 7 kbs and doesn’t play anything. what should I do?

Great App bud. VERY useful. I listen at night on a subliminal level and also while driving.

Awesome add-on! Together with the HYPERTTS add-on, I was able to make my own GLOSSIKA files from scratch. Thank you so much!
One question though. I noticed that you can’t use the advanced option if your deck name has commas in it. I even tried enclosing the deck name in double quotes but I still got an error message. Is there a way to use the advanced option(csv upload) even if there are commas in the fields?
Thanks! :)

This is great! I really like how it puts things into groups it replays several times. I think that’s really going to help with memorization.

Very impressive. I like that there are lots of options for creating different size audio decks.
But just a warning for users. It takes a while to create the audio files. I tried a few times with a deck of about 300 cards and after 10 minutes all I saw was the “Anki not responding” message and a CMD prompt flashing. I thought the addon wasn’t working, so I gave up and ended with task manager.
Later, I tried again with a small 20 card deck. After about 10 minutes, the audio files were

Really great addon for some audio stuff I’ve been trying recently.
Essential fix for me:
Short audio (like word level audio) gets cut off at the beginning making the word impossible to hear.
What would be nice for me:
The main thing I wish is that there was more customization allowed in the .csv advanced mode. It seems to be lagging behind the new features added recently. I would like to be able to fully control all parameters just like the UI allows (meaning ignore front audio, ignore

Greetings, need some help on knowing how it works.
I just copied the bin folder in the windows environment path, Anki starts ok.
Still don’t see how to export the audios. I mean I don’t see any sub menu or something alike.
When selecting notes and going to export, Anki just shows the normal formats; Colpkg, apkg and .txt
Would someone tell me how it works?..
I’m a newcomer with Anki. Thx in advance

namely : play twice german, 1 englisch

New version (April 2020) with a recent (2.1.35) Anki works well on Linux, as long as you do not start Anki in the background in a shell (like anki&), make sure to update the addon if you have issues. If you just launch it and let it take over that shell, it will work fine.
Note that the addon will break if you happen to refer in your cards to a sound file that doesn’t exist
The mp3 creation is much more efficient than it used to be (the Audiosegment library is a real drag if not on 64bit) an
