This add-on is as requested by u/DoctorToBeIn23. It allows you to select cards in browser and obtain the following table:
the list the tags present in your selection
how many time each tags are present in this selection (counting once by card)
what percent of selected cards have this tag
how many percent of the cards with this tags are selected sorted in decreasing order of number of occurrence of tags.
Once cards are selected in browser, you can show the count with ctrl+shift+T or Help>Number of tags

Love the addon! I use it a ton. I use it for finding specific videos or resources that have to do with a set of cards.
Suggestion: A feature/toggle to limit the resulting tags to only tags that have no child tags. That way you can see only the actual video or other that encompasses the most tags. (I use the Anking Deck)

I like the idea and it does work, but it takes way too long. So long that I never use it unless I’m willing to wait 10min for it to generate a report.

excuse my french, but fuck yea. this add-on stopped working for awhile, but now it’s working again with my version (2.1.54) and it runs the table in seconds now. used this all the time and it used to take forever on any card load over 100 it seemed, but now takes seconds Comment from author We gotchu :)

Works incredibly well on 2.1.54. Able to run a tag report with more cards more quickly than I imagined possible. Awesome update

The new update is absolutely phenomenal, previously the add-on wasn’t able to handle more than 4000 cards (there would be no output if you tried more than this amount) and would take up to 20 minutes to handle ~4000 cards even on a pretty high end PC, now it can even handle the entire anking deck of 35000 cards within seconds. It is also up to date with the most anki 2.1.54 so I don’t have to switch between anki versions to use this add-on anymore. Excellent tool that I use to plan how to correl

It’s a great add-on, but only for small quantities of cards. I tried using it for about 7.5k cards and it took about 7-8 minutes before it even showed up a tab. However, even after the window opened, it was blank so it was all for nothing. Other than that, it works perfectly as intended.

Add-on breaks when trying to use the “Number of Tags” function
Error
An error occurred. Please start Anki while holding down the shift key, which will temporarily disable the add-ons you have installed.
If the issue only occurs when add-ons are enabled, please use the Tools > Add-ons menu item to disable some add-ons and restart Anki, repeating until you discover the add-on that is causing the problem.
When you’ve discovered the add-on that is causing the problem, please report the issue
